According to reports, the tour van
and the pickup truck collided, causing both vehicles to catch fire. Six
passengers from the van and the driver of the pickup truck, identified as
25-year-old Isaih Moreno from Humble, Texas, died at the scene. The victims
included tourists from China and Italy. The Chinese Consulate General in San
Francisco confirmed that five Chinese citizens were among the deceased, and
eight others sustained injuries
Eyewitnesses reported that two bystanders heroically rescued several
passengers from the burning van before it was fully engulfed in flames. The
injured were transported to nearby hospitals in Idaho Falls and Bozeman,
Montana, with conditions ranging from serious to non-life-threatening.
